We know that cancer can be more than a physical disease as often perceived. The diagnosis alone provokes the deepest fears of patients and their families. For this reason, we want to provide you with resources to help lessen the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis. Each individual will have different needs. What is meaningful to one person may be meaningless to another. Support groups are a great avenue to find your niche.
Kingsport is rich in the tradition of neighbor helping neighbor mentality. Cancer support is no immune to this. Our region has a wealth of support groups that we encourage.
Convenient parking is available in the gated lot next to Wilcox Hall. Enter the building at the top of the parking lot, turn left, take elevator to third floor. We meet in the library behind the nurses’ station.
